A spot we’ve been coming to a for a while and it does not disappoint. They’re known for doing amazing brisket. For me, the coffee barbecue sauce really this place up another level because the mid rib sandwiches was amazing. The ribs with the pickle always hits the spot and it’s perfect for someone who loves Smokey meats. The brisket loaded fries is some of the best loaded fries I’ve had creating the perfect experience.

proper spot for foodies, no fancy fluff, just seriously good meat. I had the short rib, brisket slices, and chicken salt fries, every bite was incredible. The short rib especially was next level, just melting in the mouth. I’d go back for that again and again.

Absolutely delicious — the meat just fell off the bone. The standout for me was the brisket loaded fries: tender, melt-in-your-mouth brisket paired perfectly with crispy chips and a rich, flavorful sauce that brought it all together beautifully. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to add a bit more seasoning to the 7-hour rib. It was cooked to perfection and pulled apart effortlessly, but I found myself craving a bit more depth in the rub. That said, the generous mountain of pickles it came with was a highlight — tangy, crunchy, and seriously tasty.

Was worth every penny. Great brisket and fries, great staff and relaxed atmosphere. We had the brisket fries and mac and cheese triangles. Will be definitely coming again.

Amazing meat. Had the beef brisket sandwich and the infamous ribs. The coffee barbecue sauce and the pickles were super tasty. The meal was pretty good value for London, we walked away fully satisfied. There is not lots of seating space but we went in the afternoon so we managed to find a spot. The only advice I would give is to improve the drink selection. Highly recommended.

I recently visited Holy Smokes BBQ in Bow, London, and if you love authentic, smoky, halal BBQ, this spot is a must-visit. The moment I walked in, the rich aroma of smoked meats set the tone for what turned out to be a flavour-packed meal. We started with Cowboy Wings, which were perfectly crisped and served with a creamy cajun dip—bold, smoky, and addictive. The Chicken Salt Fries were another standout side: golden, crispy, and seasoned just right with that savoury kick only chicken salt can deliver. For mains, the Ol’ Smash Burger was a solid hit—two well-smashed patties with gooey cheese, pickles, and their signature burger sauce in a soft brioche bun. A no-fuss, delicious classic done right. The real showstopper of the night, though, was the 7ish Smoked Short Ribs. These were incredible—fall-off-the-bone tender, deeply flavoured, and clearly smoked with care over hours. If you’re into BBQ, this is the dish you go back for. We also tried the Brisket Loaded Fries, and they did not disappoint. Juicy pieces of brisket were layered over crispy fries and topped with coffee BBQ sauce and pickled red chillies—rich, spicy, and moreish. One dish that didn’t quite hit the mark for me was the Spicy Chicken Burger. It looked good, but the chicken was a little dry and lacked the juiciness and heat you'd expect. That said, it was the only low point in an otherwise excellent meal. Service was friendly and efficient, and the vibe was relaxed with a cool, casual interior. It's clear the team is passionate about BBQ and serious about getting the flavours right. Overall, Holy Smokes BBQ is an East London gem for meat lovers—halal-friendly, full of flavour, and serving up hearty portions that leave you satisfied. I’ll definitely be back (those ribs are calling my name again!).

Wow. The food here is incredible - the meat is so tender and juicy and packed with flavour. The smashburger and rib sandwich, perfection! I had never tried brisket before but absolutely recommend this one, I’m still thinking about it. For the meat lovers, don’t walk, run!

Tried Holy Smokes in Bow and honestly, the brisket was unreal – super tender, packed with flavor, and that smoky finish was chef’s kiss. The beef ribs were also spot on. Portion sizes were decent, and it’s great to find proper halal BBQ done right. The setup is pretty chill – it’s more of a takeaway vibe with some outdoor seating, so don’t expect a dine-in experience. It’s tucked away in an industrial area, which might put some people off, but it adds to that “smokehouse” feel. Would definitely go back – worth the trip for meat lovers!
